So that is what you should expect if you decide to book Stowe flake. I told him we slept on the floor!!! He didn’t even flinch. Instead of being understanding, he offered me advice that the next time I should ask for a wooden board to be put under the mattress. I complained to the front desk when we checked out that day. I’m not a sensitive sleeper, but guests should not be allowed to sleep on those beds. That was not pleasant to say the least, however it has now been 3 weeks since we were there and my back is still in terrible pain from the experience. My wife and I both woke up 2 hours later at 2 am in to pain and slept the rest of the night on the floor. That evening we arrived back at the hotel late at night and we found the mattress soft but did not pay attention to it. They could not fix it so they moved us to a beautiful suite. I complained about the a/c at 9 am and they sent someone to check it at 3 pm. The first room that we were given was nice but the air conditioner did not work, so our first night was very uncomfortable, however the bed was fine.

One has to wonder -why would a 4 star hotel keep 40 rotten rusted chairs in full site of the guests if they were obsolete? It’s a very good reflection on the current hotel management. There were approximately 40 more broken ones stacked up high at the entrance. The hotel has at least 200 rooms, there were no more than 20 lounge chairs at the pool. A girl showed up at 1 pm and told us she is working in the restaurant and will take orders but will have to run back to the restaurant to continue working there. The pool area is lovely, but there is no steady staff to offer you any service. She actually told me to use my smartphone to get it myself.
I felt insulted by her lack of interest in this small request. All I asked her for was if she could make a phone Call to see if tickets were available, nothing more. She referred us to to the concierge desk which was closed at 5 pm. The woman who was at the desk when we checked in, i believe her name was Debbie, was useless when we asked her to help us get information about a Jefferson Starship concert the next night. We arrived at the Hotel on June 22 at around 5pm looking forward to spending a weekend with cousins from Boston.
